Thanks to you... after 9 years... Loco Dojo is now a fully-integrated training
environment supporting self defense, mixed martial arts and fitness for all ages.
Our teaching emphasizes; character development, discipline with
compassion, humility in defeat, restraint in victory, control over
force, and training as a means of cultivating coherence — not only
in combat, but in life.
Many of our students grew up at Loco Dojo. Many created lifelong
friendships, community and memories. Some students train more
frequently and some students take breaks and
come back years later... sometimes with family and friends to start
their own self defense and MMA journey. Some students do well in
tournaments and we are proud to create champions.
Despite risk of being targeted physically and socially,
Loco Dojo is a
sanctuary for victims of bullying and domestic violence.
Moreover, people from different experiences and walks of life find strength
and purpose at Loco Dojo.
Loco Dojo is blessed with wonderful, rewarding and priceless
experiences.
Today Loco Dojo...
... is still recovering from pandemics, lockdowns and gym
shutdowns.
... suffers loss of customers with physical and mental
health challenges.
... continuously trims expenses while
paying for rent increases and inflation.
... sacrifices revenue in order to
maintain affordable and flexible memberships.
Despite costly challenges, Loco Dojo
creates fun, new classes and member offerings.
Loco Dojo maintains integrity with quality coaching, instruction and
innovative training.
We never sold out... but Sensei sacrificed house, personal property, vehicles and
savings.
